Ladislav Průša (CZE)

Economist

 

Ladislav Prusa is Vice-Dean for science and creative activity of the Faculty of Public Policy at Silesian University in Opava. For long years, he has been devoted to the socio-economic context of demographic development, especially the issue of financing and the availability of social services.

 

He graduated from University of Economics in Prague, in the 1990s, he worked at the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of the Czech Republic, in the years 2001–2017, he was the director of the Research Institute of Labor and Social Affairs, since 2018 he has been teaching at the Faculty of Public Policy at Silesian University in Opava.

The Czech population is aging, and it will be necessary to practically double the number of workers in social services in the next 15 years. Social services can thus become the most dynamically developing sector of the national economy.
