Filip Tylš (CZE)

Psychiatrist specializing in Psychedelics

 

Filip is the co-founder of the psychedelic clinic Psyon, where – as a psychiatrist, psychotherapist and medical director – he mainly practices psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy (PAP).

 

 

He also works as a neuroscientist at the Czech National Institute of Mental Health, participating in psychedelic research, and as an assistant lecturer at the Psychiatric Clinic of the 3rd Faculty of Medicine, Charles University in Prague.
In the course of his studies of psychotherapy, Filip has been influenced by experiences induced by various psychedelic substances, sweat lodges, holotropic breathwork and traditional ayahuasca rituals. He graduated from the 1st Faculty of Medicine, Charles University, and completed a PhD programme in Neuroscience. At the Czech National Institute of Mental Health, he is part of a team that conducts pilot studies of psilocybin administration to human subjects (as a psychedelic sitter).
In 2015, Filip co-founded the Czech Psychedelic Society (CZEPS), and, since 2017, he has been assisting people manage difficult psychedelic experiences as a member of the PsyCare team. He has completed specialized training in Gestalt Psychotherapy, Psychedelic-Assisted Therapies and Research Certificate Program (CIIS, USA) and the MDMA Therapy Training Program for PTSD (MAPS, USA). He is the author of several international publications including the review “Psilocybin – Summary of Knowledge” and the Czech book Fenomén psychedelie (“The Psychedelia Phenomenon”).
