Barbara Paldus (CZE/CAN)

Barbara was born in Canada and raised partly there and partly in Europe. She studied at Stanford University in the USA, graduating with a doctorate in electrical engineering. She founded and managed Picarro, a company focused on climate-change-related greenhouse gas detection, and Finesse Solutions, producing biotech equipment for vaccines, cancer treatment and cell therapy. Currently, she is dedicated to her own companies, Sekhmet Ventures (a venture capital fund) and Codex Labs.
Codex Labs Corp is a biotech company grounded in science, dedicated to supporting the microbiome, and pioneering products that have clinically proven, meaningful skincare benefits. Their mission is to blend the sciences of ethnobotany and plant biology with biotech innovation to create a new standard within the natural space: plant-based biotech skincare.
