Âpe Chimba (ESP)

Musician and Singer

Âpe Chimba is a multi-instrumental artist and singer who draws inspiration from flamenco, indigenous folk songs, sacred chants, shamanic trance and world electronic music.

His path to music could be described as tragic, beautiful and inspiring at the same time. His first experience with singing was in a hard core metal band, where he could shout out all the grievances and sorrows of his youth. Later he sang on the streets, with Roma musicians, and also flamenco, which is an inherent part of his Spanish roots. His biggest piece of artwork to date, Amorini, is a short film set to the song of the same name from the KWO album. Âpe collaborated on it with his wife Ebyän, whom he considers his pillar and muse.
