Journalist and Post-Soviet Region Analyst

Ondřej Soukup spent part of his childhood in the late Soviet Union and, despite initial plans to pursue a different path, has devoted his entire professional life to the countries of the former USSR. He has worked at the Institute of International Relations, the NGO People in Need, and for the past twenty years, as a journalist.

He served as the Moscow correspondent for Hospodářské noviny and currently works at the foreign desk of Czech Radio. He is also the co-creator of the podcast Na Východ!, which focuses on developments in Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, and the South Caucasus.
