Music Programmer, Colours of Ostrava Festival

Filip is the Head Music Programmer for Colours of Ostrava – one of the largest and most respected festivals in Central Europe. Starting as a festival temp, he rose through the ranks, from booking local acts to curating the festival’s entire music lineup. Every year, he listens to over 400 bands live, traveling the world in search of fresh talent – even spending entire months in Asia scouting new music.

In addition to the music programme, Filip also helps shape Meltingpot, a large-scale discussion forum that runs alongside the festival and hosts dozens of talks and encounters. His dedication and talent for talent-spotting have earned him international recognition: in 2023, he received the New Boss award from IQ Magazine and the prestigious New Kid on the Block title at the European Festival Awards.
