Dorota Ambrožová is a Czech writer, journalist, and documentary filmmaker from Olomouc, where she currently lives and works.
She studied radio and television programming and screenwriting at the Janáček Academy of Performing Arts in Brno. Her debut novel Poslední léto (The Last Summer), published in 2024, was well received by both readers and critics, earning a spot on the longlists for the Magnesia Litera and Deník N Book of the Year awards.
Dorota writes cultural essays and reports, and for three years hosted the regional podcast focused on local culture in the Olomouc region. As a documentary filmmaker, she collaborates with the Memory of Nations project.
