Nuclear Engineer, Operator at Temelín Nuclear Power Plant

Adéla Chalupová is a nuclear engineer and secondary circuit operator at the Temelín Nuclear Power Plant. She is an active science communicator, making complex nuclear energy topics accessible to the public and highlighting its role in a sustainable future.

She studied nuclear engineering at the Czech Technical University in Prague and worked for several years on nuclear fuel development, presenting her findings at international conferences. This path eventually led her to the Temelín control room. In 2025, she was named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list and joined expert discussions of the European Commission on small modular reactors. Adéla firmly believes that nuclear power can be a pillar of the energy transition – and that the younger generation has an essential role to play.
