Lucie Kadlecová (CZE)

Cybersecurity expert

 

Lucie works in the Cybersecurity Team at PwC and as a post-doctoral researcher at the Peace Research Centre Prague, Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University, focusing on the non-technical aspects of cybersecurity.

 

As well as having been a visiting scholar on a Fulbright scholarship to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Cambridge, USA, she has previously worked for the Czech National Cyber Security Centre (the predecessor of NÚKIB) and the Estonian cybersecurity company CybExer Technologies. Lucie also briefly worked for the Cyber Defence Section of the NATO Headquarters and the Commissioner’s Cabinet at the European Commission in Brussels. She holds a PhD from Charles University and an MA from the War Studies Department at King’s College London. Lucie serves as a member of the Advisory Board of Women4Cyber Czechia, a non-governmental organization promoting diversity and greater involvement of women and girls in the field of cybersecurity. Her upcoming book, Cyber Sovereignty: The Future of Governance in Cyberspace, is due to be published by Stanford University Press in summer 2024.
