Libor Varhaník (CZE)

Vice-Chairman of the Czech Olympic Committee

 

Libor is Vice-Chairman of the Czech Olympic Committee for Economics and Marketing, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Česká olympijská, plc.

 

 

He graduated from the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport and the Faculty of Arts of Charles University in Prague. In 1995, he built the marketing company Czech Athletics, which is responsible for dealing with the partners of the Athletics Federation and is 100% owned by the Federation.
Libor has been the head of the Czech Athletic Association since 2009. Between 1995—2003, he was a member of the marketing committee of the European Athletics Association (EAA) and subsequently joined its competition committee. He successfully ran for the position of EAA Vice President in 2019, and was also Chairman of the Board for the European Athletics Championship in Munich 2022.
