Jan Procházka (CZE)

Member of the Czech National Bank Board

Jan has been a member of the Board of the Czech National Bank since last year. From 2012 to 2023, he was Chairman of the Board and CEO of the Export and Guarantee Insurance Company, where, in addition to supporting and diversifying Czech exports, he was responsible for the implementation of Solvency II and representation in international institutions. At the same time, he was also Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the national brewery Budvar.

Jan graduated from the Faculty of Science at Palacký University in Olomouc and completed his economic education at the Faculty of Operational Economics at the Mendel University of Agriculture and Forestry in Brno. For ten years, he worked in the CYRRUS financial group, among other roles as a senior analyst and director of the Prague branch. He was also a member of the working group of the Legislative Council of the Government, the RIA Commission and twice in the National Economic Council of the Government, where he headed the group for KPIs in public administration.
