Annette Knopp (DEU/USA)

Meditation Teacher & Mystic

Annette is a meditation teacher, nature mystic and co-founder of the Blue Spirit Costa Rica retreat center. Drawing from a rich blend of Indo-Tibetan contemplative traditions, ancient earth-based practices from the Peruvian Andes, and modern Western interpersonal neurobiology, she shares an integrative path to spiritual awakening and living in embodied connection.

Originally from Germany, Annette worked as a simultaneous interpreter in Spain before following the call to explore in depth the essence of life. She lived in India, Japan, Australia and the Netherlands for nine years, and moved on a religious worker visa to the US in 2005. In 2009, together with her husband Stephan, they opened the Blue Spirit retreat center in Nosara, Costa Rica. These days, she divides her life and work between North and Central America, enjoying taking her horse Kareem and dog Kaya on excursions in nature in her free time.
