Ondřej Kořistka (CZE)

Nuclear physicist

 

Ondra is a graduate of the Nuclear and Physical Engineering Faculty of the Czech Technical University in Prague (Jaderky) in the field of Radiological Physics. He has worked at the Proton Therapy Center Czech in Prague in the field of radiotherapy of oncological diseases and at the State Institute of Radiation Protection in the field of natural radiation dosimetry and radon measurements.

 

 

He also has work experience in the energy sector as a junior consultant. He is currently a PhD student and researcher at Jaderka, where he is involved in gamma-ray spectrometry, decommissioning of nuclear facilities, monitoring of radionuclides in the environment and teaching students. Ondra is an enthusiastic popularizer of physics topics! He actively organizes lectures, workshops and talks at high schools, lectures for the University of the Third Age, trains high school teachers and has his own physics experiment roadshow.
