Amber Sawyer

As an Embodiment Facilitator, Amber shares the joy of living through holistic practices of yoga, active meditations, elemental wellness and pre/postnatal support. With more than 20 years of study and practice in Yoga, Ayurveda and Meditation, as well as a PhD in Biomedical Engineering in the field of stem-cell tissue repair, Amber brings a unique perspective on healing and self-discovery through the influence of scientific and ancient wisdoms. Since 2015, Amber’s work primarily focuses on empowering women to have a conscious pregnancy, birth experience and preparedness for motherhood. Currently she serves as a birth assistant, teaches pre and postnatal yoga, as well as offers her own 85hr YA Embodied Woman Prenatal and Postpartum Yoga Teacher Training biannually and a Postpartum Yoga Foundation Series for new mothers, online and in-person. In 2020, Amber founded the Embodied Woman Yoga Academy, which is a platform for courses, CEUs, Yoga Teacher Trainings and resources related to women’s health, particularly pregnancy and postpartum.
Her life partner is Daniel Sonic Rojas, great dancer and instructor of the Embodied Dance Movement. The workshops of both teachers often follow each other, they complement each other and thus their amazing effects are multiplied.

The Yin and Yang of Fire: an Elemental Yoga Journey with Amber

Saturday 10 pm – 11.30 pm CET 

Elemental yoga is a unique system that integrates the wisdom of Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine and Hatha Yoga into a holistic lifestyle practice both on and off the mat. It uses gentle, physical postures, mudras, visualisations and affirmations to bring harmony to the 5-elements (Earth, Water, Fire, Wind, Space) within the body/mind constitution by strengthening, stretching and supporting the correlating elemental meridians.

In our weekend practice, we will use asanas to move energy through the Small intestine (Yang) and Heart (Yin) meridians. The Fire Yang Session presents a dynamic practice that includes core strength and shoulder mobility, flexibility and strengthening. The Fire Yin session offers a beautiful, passive practice to channel Fire energy through devotion and heart-oriented asanas.

No experience is needed. The sessions will be held online through Zoom, in English language.

The workshop is exclusively open to participants.



What if I don't make it to the online workshop in time?
Don't worry, you won't lose access to the workshop. All sessions will be recorded. If you cannot join your session in time, we will send you a link so you can watch it later.
Do I need to download any application?
You will join the workshop through the Zoom platform. You can download it for free from the official website. During the week of the workshop, we will send you a link and a password to join the session.
How will the interaction with the teacher work?
You will join the online session just as you would join one in person. You will see and hear each other with the teacher and other participants. The teacher will guide you through the practice and will also give you the opportunity to respond and ask questions.

What do I wear and what do I need for the practice?
Wear comfortable clothes that will allow you to move freely. It is helpful to have a yoga mat and 2 blocks if you need additional support.
Will the workshop be translated into Czech?
No, the whole workshop will be in English so the participants can benefit from direct contact with the teacher and enjoy an undisturbed experience.
