A legend of Czech theater, movie and TV screens with a remarkable ability to embody a wide range of characters, a former long-time member of the drama ensemble of the National Theater in Prague and also a great singer. For over twenty years he has excelled in the main role of The Servant of Two Masters, which has reached a record 600 performances. Nowadays, he encounters his son Martin on stage.
He started cooperating with Husa na provázku theatre during his studies and stayed there for 17 years. The engagement in Brno taught him the essentials of stage performing, discipline and brought him a number of challenges and opportunities. In 1990, he took a big step: he went to Prague and anchored at the National Theater for 25 years. During his career, he has encountered almost all of the classic drama and comedy performances, often as the lead actor. He has starred in a number of TV productions, fairy tales, TV series, featured in several shows and has achieved great popularity with his one man shows. He is known as a witty and kind narrator, always well prepared.
You can now see Mirek in Husa na provázku theater again in the role of Salieri, the genius of mediocrity, in Shaffer‘s Amadeus. His star partner on stage is his son Martin in the role of Mozart, who is also a talented actor. Will he accompany his father to Meltingpot this year...?
