A real Mountain doctor who works at the professional center of holistic medicine at the Beskydy Rehabilitation Center in Čeladná. Andrew Urbis is a well-known Czech philosopher, psychologist, therapist with a focus on holistic medicine, a promoter of healthy lifestyle, and a founder of the professional concept of dark therapy in the Czech Republic. He leads therapeutic groups where he teaches special breathing techniques, psychophysical and physiological relaxation, Tao-yin exercises, methods of inner smile, self-stimulation of energy pathways and microsystems, or the principle of harmonic diet. He also devotes himself to art.
He studied psychology at Faculty of Arts, Palacky University Olomouc, and underwent long-term psychotherapeutic training focused on intense changes in consciousness. Later he studied TCM, completed an internship at Chengdu University of T.C.M. in China and at the Maori Center in Christchurch, New Zealand. For many years he has worked in top management positions. In his counseling he applies his practical experience from management work and knowledge from his continuing professional studies. In collaboration with doctors, he helps his clients through various non-standard methods to cope with health, personal and relational problems. In 2006, he created a world record of staying in an extreme freeze (-129 ° C for 8 minutes and 10 seconds). Since 2007 he has been focusing on the effects of light pollution on the human body. He has collaborated with leading scientific workplaces to investigate the effects of sensory deprivation on the human body.
He is known to the general public thanks to his appearances on television. He has implemented a number of projects and has written numerous professional publications describing healthy lifestyle methods. In addition to his consulting activities, he carries out the analysis of residential and operational buildings with practical use of Feng Shui knowledge.
As one of the basic factors of personality development, he promotes creative activity and he devotes himself to various art techniques as well. He expresses the specific perception of his patients´personalities and a landscape of his soul.
