This is her fifteenth year working at the Institute for Czech Literature of the Czech Academy of Sciences.
Zuzana graduated from the Faculty of Arts at Charles University. From 2014 to 2017, she was Head of the Department of Bohemian Studies at Oxford. She has devoted herself to the Czech Avant-Garde for a long time and has published a monograph entitled Vprostřed davu. Česká avantgarda mezi individualismem a kolektivismem (In the Middle of the Crowd. Czech Avant-Garde between Individualism and Collectivism) (2016) and the anthology of avant-garde prose Neplač, vstaň a střílej (Don’t Cry, Get Up and Shoot) (2016). She debuted with the poetry collection Pustím si tě do domu (I’ll Let You in My House) (2016) and her prose novel Evička (Little Eve) (2018). The novella received a very positive critical response ‒ it earned 80% on the iliteratura.cz server and was listed among the 2018 Books of the Year. Her latest book, Cestou špendlíků nebo jehel (The Road of Pins or Needles), was shortlisted for the Magnesia Litera Award.
