Professor Zdeněk Stuchlík is the director of the Institute of Physics at the Silesian University in Opava. He studies the influence of dark energy and dark matter on the evolution of the universe and galactic structures. He is the recipient of major awards from the Czech Astronomical Society. He professes the motto: "The surest place to find a helping hand is at the end of your arm."
