Dr. Sönke Ahrens is an author and researcher in the field of education and social science, author of the award-winning book Experiment and Exploration. Forms of World-Disclosure, and a lecturer of the Philosophy of Education at the University of Duisburg-Essen. He also coaches students, academic staff and professionals with a focus on time management, decision-making, and personal growth.
In 2017, he published the book How to Take Smart Notes, based on the legendary method "zettelkasten" of sociologist Niklas Luhmann. The aim of the book is to help students, academics or writers get more work done, but it also works for anyone who wants to build and extend a space for thinking and knowledge.
