He sees determination as his greatest strength and weakness. Matt tries to provide his readers with instructions on how to follow their dreams and pay bills at the same time.
Matt Jardine is a former tennis instructor, athlete, fiction and non-fiction author, podcaster and teacher. A Londoner born and bred, he often travels the world to various countries, cultures, and points of view. He currently lives in Oman with his wife and Jack Russell Terrier.
Matt is the founder of Jardine Karate and has helped thousands of students discover their personal potential through his specially designed martial arts programs. In addition to his interest in martial arts, he has practised meditation and other Eastern arts for over twenty-five years. Inspired by Paulo Coelho and his book The Pilgrimage, he once decided to embark on a journey around the Japanese island of Shikoku, through mountains, coasts and Bamboo forests, walking one of the world's most sacred trails, the 88 temple pilgrimage, in only 30 days. He transformed his notes from this incredible journey into “9 practical steps on how to be happy in a materialistic world,” which became the basis for his latest book How to be a Buddhist Millionaire. It won the Firebird book award and was selected as a finalist for the Eric Hoffer Book Award in 2021.
