Ladislav Miko is an environmental expert and politician.
He was born in Košice, Slovakia, and lives in the Czech Republic. In 2007, he was the Minister of the Environment of the Czech Republic, worked in the European Commission for many years and is currently an advisor to the Minister of the Environment in the field of biodiversity and ecosystems. He is also a leading expert on oribatida and soil ecology. He works at the Faculty of Natural Sciences of Charles University. In his free time, he enjoys film and theater and is also the President of the International Film Festival Ekofilm.
