Lecture in language
A scholar on the future of work and education, he created the knowmads concept, which takes a future-oriented approach to envisioning human potential development in the next 10 years, and the implications for education today.
John Moravec is also a global speaker, external consultant and trainer who advised a number of institutions around the world, the founder of Education Futures, a think tank and advisory firm with a service mission to governments, schools, and universities in the Americas and Europe, and Editor-in-Chief of On the Horizon, an academic journal focused on new futures for education. John’s research and action scholarship agendas are focused on exploring the convergence of globalization, innovation society, and accelerating change in human knowledge development, and, last but not least, building positive futures for knowledge creation systems in an era of exponential uncertainty.
In addition to editing Emerging Education Futures (2019) and Knowmad Society (2013, Education Futures), he is the co-author of the book Invisible Learning (2011) that formulates his metatheory for reframing human capital development in an era of exponentially accelerating technological and social change.
