He has directed a number of live TV broadcasts, live concerts, successful commercials and music videos for Czech and foreign artists.
David comes from a famous artistic family. His father was the director, screenwriter and lyricist Vladimír Sís, his mother was the artist Alena Sísová, and his brother is the world-renowned artist and animation filmmaker Peter Sís who lives in the USA. David graduated from the Department of Directing at FAMU (The Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague). His most important awards include the main award of the IFF Kobe for Hat-trick, the jury prize of the IFF Poitiers and the main award of the IFF Tel Aviv for Malchik, and the special award of IFF Zlatá Praha for the series Pandurango. He made a documentary about his brother Peter, Sny o toulavých kočkách (Dreams of Stray Cats), which premiered in 2021.
