He often supports the idea of the European Union in the media and is not afraid to point out the benefits of membership for the Czech Republic. Radek is a former advisor to the Deputy Prime Minister for Economics and was later a member of the management of Škoda Auto. For several years he also led the Central European branch of the American think-tank Aspen Institute. He is currently Vice President of the Czech Union of Industry and Transport for Economic Policy and Export.
He graduated from Charles University and the University of Cambridge. His diploma thesis that received a distinction at the University of Cambridge is dedicated to Central European expatriate associations in the United States and their influence on the NATO enlargement in 1999.
