One of the most respected and popular contemporary Czech poets, literary historian and essayist. In 1998 he was awarded the Dresden Lyric Award. State Prize Laureate for Literature (2013) and Jan Skácel Award (2009) winner. In Italy, he has won the Premio Piero Ciampi 2014. This year he has already published his ninth collection entitled Nikde není řečeno (Nowhere is it said).
