Pavel Ševčík is a co-author of the publication Euthanasia from medical, philosophical and legal point of view published in 2018 as second edition in Czech Academy of Sciences. Initiator of creation of a field for habilitation and professor appointment procedures in Anaesthesiology, Intensive Medicine and Pain Management at Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University in Brno.
As a chairman of the board, he witnessed successful achievement of academic titles of 10 Associate Professors and 6 Professors. He is a long-time scientific secretary of Czech Society

As a chairman of the board, he witnessed successful achievement of academic titles of 10 Associate Professors and 6 Professors. He is a long-time scientific secretary of Czech Society of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine (CSARIM), currently he is also a member of Pain Relief Committee in World Federation of Societies of Anaesthesiologists (WFSA) for Europe. In his free time, he enjoys travelling, especially travelling to mountain areas around the world. He visited more than 50 countries and has been one of a few Czechs who visited all the continents. In 2011, he was honoured to be the first doctor in Mendel research station (belonging to Masaryk University in Brno) on James Ross Island in Antarctica.
