Miroslav Novotný (CZE)

para ice hockey player, member of the Czech national team


He lost both legs at the age of 19 during a collision with a train. In 2014 he saw a report about para ice hockey while watching the Paralympics in Sochi and did not hesitate a minute. Now Mirek Novotný aka Guma plays for the Sparta Praha hockey team and starts his 5th season in the Czech national team's dress. He works as a taxi driver and the job is also his hobby.


He likes to drive and travel. But he also wants to be able to pursue para hockey for 100%. He works out hard and hopes to motivate other disabled people to live actively.
