Josef has been involved in computational molecular genetics for many years, and thanks to science, he has traveled a large portion of the world. He shines on the literary scene only now: he won the Magnesia Litera Prize this year in the prose category for his novelist debut, Láska v době globálních klimatických změn (Love in the Time of Global Climate Change).
