Fedor is one of the prominent Czechoslovak dissidents. During the november revolution he co-founded the Public against Violence movement, later presided over this movement, and became adviser to the Federal Government of the CSFR. In the nineties, he founded the publishing house G PLUS G with his son Róbert and stood at the birth of TV NOVA.
His film credits include Krátká dlouhá cesta (Short Long Road), Dobré ráno Slovensko (Good Morning Slovakia) and the multimedia project Pro Natálku (For Natálka). He has published Možnost a skutečnost (Possibility and Reality) (1991), Z první ruky (First Hand) (1991), O jinakosti (About Otherness) (1998), Vize a iluze (Vision and Illusion) (2000) and Lidský úděl (Human Fate) (2004).
In January 2018 he accepted the Order of Ľudovít Štúr from Slovak President Andrej Kiska.
