A Polish Roman Catholic Priest working in the Czech Republic.
He studied at the seminary and theological faculty in Katovice in Poland. He came to the Czech Republic in 1992, beginning at the rectory in Náchod, and from 1993 has headed the parish in Lanškroun in eastern Bohemia.
Czendlik is something of a special phenomenon among priests. He is part of the world of show business and his favourite place for meeting people is the pub. He has a liking for fashion and plays golf in his free time. For Czech Television he presents the programme Uchem jehly (Eye of a Needle), and for Czech Radio Jak to vidí (As They See It).
In October 2016, Postel, hospoda, kostel (Bed, Pub, Church), a book Czendlik wrote with Markéta Zahradníková, was published. He has talk show of the same name which with which he tours the cities, towns and villages of the Czech Republic. He actively takes part in charitable and social projects of various kinds with the purpose of supporting the elderly or handicapped children. He has founded a children’s home for foster families. He is patron of a dog shelter.
