He graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. He is the Director of the ENET Research Centre which is looking into the development and implementation of new technologies that can be used as non-traditional sources of electrical and thermal energy. He is involved in initiatives leading to the efficient use of renewable resources, specializing in island networks, technology for so called SMART GRID systems. He is the author of 5 national licensed patents, one European patent, and dozens of improvement proposals.
