Martin C. Putna
Literary historian and critic.
He deals mainly with the relationship between culture and religion, has published over twenty book titles of both specialized and popular literature, also lectures at the Faculty of Humanities of Charles University. Since 1987 he has participated in oppositional cultural and religious activities. Even in the normalization period, at Easter 1987, he was baptized by Jiri Reinsberg in the Temple of Tyn. In autumn 1989 he was one of the main figures of the Velvet Revolution at the Faculty of Philosophy of Charles University. He was also one of the founders of the organization ‘Czech Christian Academy’ and christian and cultural revues.
