Libor Dvořák

Czech journalist, commentator and translator.

Commentator of Czech Radio 6 and Russian translator, who has long been involved with Russia, Ukraine and the adjacent post-Soviet regions. Among the authors, whose works he has translated, are the Strugačti brothers, Mikhail Bulgakov, Anton Pavlovich Čechov or Vladimir Sorokin. He was awarded a creative award under the Josef Jungmann Prize for the work of Damned Days by Ivan Alexejevich Bunin. In 2012 he became the Rudolf Medek Prize winner, a prize awarded to important cultural personalities who deal with Czech-Russian relations.
