Journalist, translator and prose writer, has published a number of books, mainly science fiction.
In 1992-3 he was editor-in-chief of ‘Lidove noviny’, he was also a commentator for the ‘Week’, ‘Rights’, BBC and Nieman Fellow at Harvard University (1994). Between 2000-2012 he served as adviser to Senator Petr Pithart. At present he translates mostly from English. He has recently worked on Fareeda Zakarii’s book „Defense of a Liberal Education,“ on Andrew Scully’s book „Madness and Civilization“ and on extensive history of psychiatry.
