Award-winning Czech Comic Book Artist and Musician
Jaromír Švejdík, better known as Jaromír 99, is a Czech musician and comic book artist. He found fame as a member of the band Umakart of Priessnitz. Jaromír 99 is also well known as the author of the Alois Nebel trilogy. He has made quite the name for himself as a comic book artist. He won the Muriel Award for his comic book, Bomber, and for his comic book interpretation of Kafka’s, The Castle. Given his creative visual storytelling, he also creates storyboards for movies including including Samotáři (2000), Jedna ruka netleská (2003) and Grand Hotel (2006).
