Specialist on the risks of nanomaterials in relation to health and the environment.
She is a graduate of biology and chemistry and focuses on the risks of nanomaterials in relation to human health and the environment. She has built a scientific team at VŠB-TUO. Her team was the first in the world to prove, without a shadow of the doubt, that during braking of vehicles nanometric particles are being emitted. At the same time she has been working on detection of such particles in human tissues and body fluids; this could help to explain how some diseases develop, that otherwise have no visible cause.
