Czech Vocal Specialist, Lecturer and Coach
Ivana Vostárková is a Vocal Specialist in the Faculty of Theater at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. She is also a vocal coach and speech therapist. Vostárková began her career as a puppeteer, actress, and teacher, working with directors like Makonj, Krobot, Schorm, and Krob. She gradually shifted her focus towards researching vocal techniques both in the arts and beyond. As a professor at the Faculty of Theater at the Academy of Performing Arts, she teaches psychology and the culture of social communication. She also teaches at the Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts (FAMU). She leads seminars on vocal technique for actors, singers and newscasters, but also teachers, lawyers, managers, psychologists, and music therapists. Vostárková works in Czech television and radio as a voice and speech coach. She also coaches singers Aneta Langerová, Lenka Dusilová, David Koller, and Jan Budař. She is starting to do more work in therapy, delving into vocal analysis and psychosomatic relations through voice.
